LCD screen clean?

I have a Dell 5150 laptop and was wondering what would be the best thing to use to clean/wipe down my monitor? I try not to touch it at all, but there always seem to be some small smudges on it. Any liquids? I havent tried anything yet but a soft cloth.

any house-hold products? Would a damp rag hurt? Granted I have not tried anything yet.
