hey honda swap, long time no post
ive been driving a 99 camry for the past months and have neglected anything honda related purely because im sad i cant put my info to use
anyway, ive recently decided to ask some buddies to keep an eye out for an ef crx si for me because ive decided im done with my full coverage insurance. its too much of a burden and leaving me scrounging for 50 cents for food at the end of the week.
ive been on the search for one for a while and ive decided i want to just wait till i find one thats not running, get it for dirt and put in a d15b vtec and hopefully have a good si tranny thats come along with the car.
im just wondering what kind of times i can expect, frowned upon question, i just figure if ive seen stock si's run flat 16's than the d15b vtec can get in the neighborhood of 15 flat? idk im pulling this out of my ass....
im only wondering this because if i can find a crx soon that is actually running well i can shell out some extra bucks and keep the d16a6...save the money im getting back from no car payment/liability insurance and get a b16 or something thatll b fun.
any input on my choice, im not trying to start a noob post, just a real life public opinion poll i guess
"reliable d15b vtec rex for around 1,500" or "stock rex for now..hiiiiigh mileage...wait 4 months till money for a b16" i guess thats what im getting at
respond HS!
EDIT
i just found a crx si for sale for 300 as a shell and for a disasembled d16a6 for an additional 100. if the shell isnt missing anything would this be a great find???
