LS swap, axel?

I want to get new rims for my car right now the bolt pattern is 4x100 if i do my swap and use the different axels am i going to have to change rims or will the bolt pattern stay the same, im a little unclear about this. Thanks.

changing axles in no way alters the bolt pattern. the hubs don't change in any way.

the axle is wat goes from the tranny into te hub,the hub is what has 4-5 studs that your wheel goes on,then you put lugs on that

Oh ok i wasnt sure because my buddies type r is 5 lug so i wasnt sure. thanks.
