i have a 95 accord body, with a 94 prelude motor, but my distributor cap is a 92

accord cap, first of i would like to say i dont know why it is that, but the guy that

put my motor together put it on. now im wondering if i can put a 94 prelude

distributor cap on with the external pack, or do i have to change the engine

distribute assembly. any answers would be great, if u are wondering why i am

doing this, is becuase im having a bad stumbling problem on acceleration

thanks

I'd like to help, but either I'm tired, or you need to be a little more clear.

Do you have internal coil or external?

Which cap are you trying to use?

Did someone swap the distributor itself?

You lost me.:shrug2:

the distributor has and internal coil

i have 94 prelude motor, it has 92 accord distrubutor on it, want to use 94 prelude

distrubuter

all i know is that just the distrubutor cap is, and if it is only the cap, would a 94

prelude distributor cap fit on that assembly and would i need external or internal

coil. sorry about the confusion

Unless it doesn't work, use the stock distributor for the engine you have installed.

IE: Use the internal coil H22 distributor. You only have to run one wire to get spark. I wouldn't use the Accord distributor.

are you sure it is not a obd1 jdm distributor and he used a 92 accord cap because that is what you need to use for for it. all usdm preludes came with external coils and those caps dont fit the jdm distributor so you have to use the accord distributor cap.
