How do I know that? I've never had a problem with the buttons on mine getting nasty, and I work on cars at least 2-3 times a week, and answer the phone if it rings while working. My numpad still looks brand new.

That is your OPINION. It appears that besides you, everyone else has been reasonably happy with the V3, with the only complaints being a lack of goodies, some slowness, and outdated software.
