What am i missing? What are some good options to add.

your best mod for the money would be to throw in some ZC pistons or D16a1 pistons. You'll get more power out of that and a good cam then ALL of those other bolt on's combined. There's really no reason to do a complete bolt-on SOHC motor....unless you raise the compression.

Good build using basically only stock parts:
Dohc vtec throttle body
D16Y8 intake manifold

ANY 1.6 block (all have same bore/stroke) but best is D16Y8 because of it's lower miles
ZC or D16a1 pistons
D16y8 head

with that combination you're looking at over 13:1 compression.
Couple that with a sick cam and a nice header, you're looking at 160-170 WHP
Dont waste youre money on aftermarket manifolds, fuel rails, ignitions, injectors, etc.

The D16Y8 block throws rods like no other D16 block. A c/r of 13:1 isn't going to fly on the street. He'll be lucky to see 160whp with that setup.

Go check out some of high horsepower Ds over on D-Series.org. Builthatch is one example, a D16Y8 with P29 pistons, c/r of 12.25:1, Crower Stage 3 cam, quality port and polish, valve job, SMSP prototype header, Skunk2 IM, and I forgot what intake and exhuast. He's in the 150whp range on 93 octane.

you just said exactly what i said.
D16Y8 w/ ZC (P29) pistons
i think 160 is doable with tuning.

All the SOHC D16 blocks are the same except for the pistons.
