Just wondering or you got money in hand and are ready?

If you're just wondering...lots of motors will fit in there but the del sol is pretty heavy (heavier then it looks) But you can get it fast. I say any B Series motor but if you got the money and the knowledge....K Series would be nice...as I dream of spending $10K on a car thats worth less then 5K lol ('92 EG Si)
Or you can turbo the motor you have....if it blows up...you can find another one relatively cheap

Did fast and furious inspire you to build a sweet car?

No I think it was Talladega Nights and Ricky Bobby that inspired him.

All depends on what you want to do with it and where your passions lie. Comparing a del sol to a 240 is like apples and oranges.

hahah very true, i dunno. i just figured it would be a good car to learn how to fix up. but on saying that i could use the money on a 240sx.
eff it i'm just gonna get the car i want and start from scratch :D

now i just gotta choose a car

heres another question, in you opinion. nissan silvia, supra, or 240sx ?

i would through an rx7 in there but i'm not a fan of the rotary engine, and i know majority of ppl are obsessed with the supra, but damn the silvia and 240sx are beautiful cars

    Supra.

But I wouldn't recommend one to someone to "learn" how to work on cars on.. Its a pain in the ass.

In all seriousness.. Keep the 'sol. You already have it and its an easy car to work on. Do a GSR swap. Plenty of power, cheaper than the type R motor by far, and just as fun.
