Noob needs help

what would i have to buy to swap a h22 dohc head on to a f22a1 block. would i have vtec and what kind of wireing would i have to do? and aprox how much would it cost? please help the noob i am sacrificing rep points by asking these stoopid questions.

Don't bother....it'll cost you more for machining than an H22 swap would run you

werd just buy an h22 build it and swap it into your car.... you will get further with it anyway

yes it does work, and no it doesnt require excessive machining. unlike the b/d series, the f/h head/block combo isnt that hard. http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1046336

errrmmmm, thats a H23 head with a F23 block

H22 head is very diffrent

yea. i read here that a f22 block is stronger than a h22 block and that the only things on a h22 head that doesnt fit/line up is is one of the oil drain things and can be plugged up but the rest of them line up perfectly.

i also believe that f-series are highly UNDERated even though i know that the head isnt that great, the block is ALOT stronger than a h22. my friend is running a stock f22 with 13psi boost.
