Here's the problem, more then half of this country wants a free ride.
Obama and Health care... I can't see either one going away.
The only thing the gov should do is step in and find out what the AVG cost of any type of health procedure and tell different doctors offices they can't charge over XXX for the type of thing being done.
I'm talking about basic stuff like gen checkups, MRI, removal of a mole, not any ground breaking stuff.
I say this because I get pissed off every time I see a bill for anything I've had a check up. why is it my hearing test cost $300.00 yet my insurance company tells them HEY thats too much! you're charging way over the avg and we're only going to allow you to charge $120.00 more then 50% less!!!! even when paying out of pocket.
I just can't figure out how it is they can charge anyone whos willing to pay cash so much more knowing damn well they can't get away with it when it has to get submitted through insurance.
Remove that bull shit as with the stupid follow up visits, why is it when I got some RXs for allergies, in order to get another RX I had to go back, with out a doubt taking the meds made things 10 times better, as soon as I stopped taking them, it acted up again. Why the hell did I have to go into the doctors office and pay $80 for him to say, hi how are you? ok still feeling bad? here you go. 2 minutes TOPS!!!!!
of course it gets submitted to my insurance and they say nope, that cost too much and my $80 visit turns into a $50 visit.....
There needs to be some types of limits, however giving everyone FREE heath care. F that.

I just don't see what the hell there is to approve of. What good has been done in the last few months? I see nothing changing for the better. We have enemy combatants in the Bahamas for Christs sake.
I guess folks hatred for Bush/Republicans is just that damn strong. For a group of people that claim to have open minds and caring hearts they act a lot like hateful fear mongers.

I thought some regulation of the securities/investment industry was necessary after savvy businessmen and poor investors laid waste to our financial sector and I even thought the hand picked Harvard graduates and career economists would have a beneficial oversight over the current system. In the end, the government has just proven that yet again, businesses operate in a more efficient manner due to the need to show shareholders a profit. The government on the other hand operates to deplete a budget.
Tax incentive credit for a new homeowner - good.
Government bailout of homeowners that were severely overleveraged - bad.
Trying to mend relationships in the Middle East - good.
Telling everyone they have to be friendly to their neighborhood muslim - bad.
Backing companies so they can perform structured bankruptcies - good.
Bailing out entire companies and throwing more money at the problem - bad.
Forcing renegotiation of union agreements in a time sensitive period for the benefit of the masses - good.
Overstepping legislative bounds and placing unsecured creditors ahead of secured creditors in a bankruptcy - bad.
Regulating top executives compensation within a "reasonable, market appropriate" level - not so bad.
Forcing top executives to take rescue packages or telling them in non-public documents, "If you don't take these bailout funds, we will force you take the funds or replace you." - bad.

My question... Why? Why do we have to be the shining example to the world? We did not become a world power by being the fucking nice guy. Why change shit up now? Obviously it's not fucking working.
And this doesn't just go for Guantanamo, it's our general approach to a war in general. Blow shit back to the stone age, then rebuild it. All on our dollar. Fucking after WWII the loser had to rebuild their shit and pay us. Where the fuck did that go?
Take what we want, split the pot accordingly. Anyone who has a problem with it is taken at face value. 1st world countries with real armies are giving their piece of the pie. Rats hiding in a caves are wiped from existence. Their countries are sent back to the stone age and left that way. You live in this country but don't hate us? Don't live their.
