A P28 is the computer from a 92-95 Civic Ex or Si. They are desireable for tuning because they can easily be chipped and loaded with custom maps to run pretty much any Honda engine...

The engine he wants is OBD2. The chassis he's putting it in is OBD1. In order to run the original ECU he would need a conversion harness. Might as well just run it as OBD1 and then he'll have more options for tuning later...

No, you need to use an ECU that will run an H23 VTEC, so either use the ECU that goes with the engine, or use a chipped ECU that's running a program that will run the engine, which is exactly what I just said in my previous post...

Alot....... Just get a h22a. Same power less trouble. I looked into this same swap for my 92 prelude. After everything was said and done i went with the h22a. Not only is it easier imo. Its alot better engine. Just my op.

a friend of mine was gonna drop a h23, but after researching it he found out the h22 saved him money and really not much of a difference as far as hp and torque...and he has running on a p28 chipped on chrome...runs really quick...

Ok I have basicly read a post with people asking the same question over and over again. Befor ya begin to learn a honda learn the basics... Like simple words like ABS, ECU & VTEC. When someone says P28 ECU they are refuring the the computer that is located in your car. With out an ECU your Car will not start. The ECU is a unit that controls your car basicly. Means No power windows, No dash lights ect ect... it is the Mid way point between the wires on the inside of your car and the engine bay. just Wiki ECU... as for a used H22a they are everywere... In wrecked preludes, civics, on ebay, CL so on and so forth. But honestly be for you go out and start modifying your car you should learn about the car, what swaps are commen in them, what ones are rare. learn befor you act, and if you have a crazy idea go to your local Tuner Macanic and ask them... just some advice

    HI
    I own a 93 honda prelude with a H23.
    I swapped a 97 jdm H22a motor.
I bot the P28 chipped Ecu, I'm using the H23 wirring harness.

I need to find a Web site that will help me out with questions on the vacuum lines, wirring diagram, baically a Web site that will help me get this swap complete the right way.

    Thanks

h23's have never come in v-tech.
h22 v-tech's is your best option, or maby a f22 with h22 head.
much faster and much more power.
