Preventing CEL codes

If the engine that I'm swapping into my car requires more control units than my car actually has (e.g. evap canister vent shut valve, bypass solenoid valve), can I connect a jumper wire from a power source on the ECU to that control units pin to prevent it from throwing codes? I'd make sure the voltage is the same.

its a bad idea.

just get the evap from the gsr or whatever motoer your swapping into your car and plug it in.

Damn... What might happen if I do this, I'm just worried that I'll spend all that extra money and there still might be CEL codes.

Here's a pic of what I had in mind.

This is what my system currently looks like.
