Hello. I have a 99 DX and i swapped in a 98 EX VTEC. Just to get it running i had to splice connectors from both engines and use my old ECU. So now i have a loping idle and a CEL and VTEC is not hooked up. Now i learned the 98 EX is a OBD2A and my 99 body is OBD2B and i need a ECU jumper harness which i bought. From what i understand now i have to convert my IAC connector from 3 to 2 wire. Also i need to wire up VTEC to the harness but i dont know how and i dont know where to find info on that. And some say i have to extend or swap the krank sensor connector but info is unclear on that. Any more information i can get will be great.

You need to wire for Vtec there are several right ups on this. A google search will help alot. The jumper harness is good you also need the the ECU for the 98 EX D16Y8 motor. Your DX ECU doesnt have the maps for Vtec so it will not work. Hasport can help you out with all the wiring questions you have and can even make a harness for you.
