question for the turbo gods

all right this guy in colorado has a t4 AIResearch turbo and wants to trade me his turbo and 100 to 150 cash for my turbonetics t3 turbo, what do you guys think should i do it.

mine has no shaft play and I would have to see his in person he says its mint.

here is pictures of his (not sure of the trim)

and heres some pictures of mine (mine is a 50/48)

so he wants just the turbo so I will keep my manifold and wastegate

it would be for my b16 on my crx

What motor do you plan to put it on?

It will lag MORE and will probably make more power. It looks like a T04B/E cover so it will definitely flow more than a T3, however if it is a straight T04 then you will need a new manifold/flange to fit it on..and if it is indeed a T04 hotside with the p-trim turbine wheel, you will not like the spool very much.

IMO, keep your turbo

and what would I do with extra manifolds and no turbo.

Keep the T3.

You don't know what you don't know. That turbo could need a complete rebuild.
