Thought I'd make a tech article out of it.

How to make your own trailing arm bushing install tool / press for installing new trailing arm bushings. Handy with the energy suspension aftermarket bushings. Cost is about $15.

Parts:

1- Scrap 2x4
12 inches of 3/4 inch all thread
2- 3/4 inch bolts.
2- 3/4 inch washers. The bigger and thicker the better.

Cut two pieces of 2x4. Mine are 8 inches long. They work great.
Drill a hole through the center of each 2x4 slightly bigger than 3/4"
Put it all together. Done.

This is an actual pic of mine. Used it on 5 different hondas, worked like a champ every time. Its missing one 2x4.. It ran away to join the circus or something. Hence the paint shop drawing at the bottom.

Install as shown. Line everything up the way it should be and tighten the bolts down to press the bushing into place. Its a little tricky to start, but be patient and keep it lined up, the bushing will pop right in.
