registering a car from the UK

Hey guys, I dont know if this topic should be in this forum or not, sorry if its not supposed to be here. Anyway I was wondering what it would take to get a car from the UK registered in the states and get the title and all that? would it cost a lot of money? I know it costs quite a bit for cars from Japan but I have no clue as to cars from other areas of the world. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yeah, it's probably going to cost you around the same as it would importing from Japan.

You'd have to get the emissions legalized through the EPA or whatever agency is pissy about that shit. Then the USDOT would have to legalize it, DOT approved headlights, taillights, etc along with DOT approved safety devices and safety materials.

I'm thinking it'd be cheaper and easier to just buy a new car that's already street legal in the US.
