salvage title

hey everyone,

is there anyway you can get rid of the salvage title on a car and change it back to a clean title? for example: taking it to a honda dealership and having them inspect it?

Im not sure it works that way.. If you own a car with a salvage title with intent of repairing it yourself,Take before and after photos,Keep all the receipts for the parts,Do the repairs needed,Get a rebuilt form from the state(most used car lots have the right paper work).Fill out the paperwork get a notary stamp on it ,Mail it in with receipts and pics and whatever it cost for them to do the paperwork(depends what state you are in) Wait 3 to 5 weeks and you get a rebuilt title back..

not in all states up here if a car has a salvage tittle it cannot be put back on the road without a new vin number

Most of the time you end up getting a rebuilt title when you get a salvage car back on the road. If you retitle the rebuilt car in another state, sometimes you can end up with a clean title. Bring it back to the original state and voila- you're clean agian. At least that's how I've seen people in Texas do it...

Best bet, wait in line at your local dmv

Go to the DMV and tell them you lost your title and it might just work because one of my friends did it and it worked
