Time consuming, but not hard. Just have a manual to double check locations.

If its a 96-98 B16 wont everything plug right up to the stock harness except for vtec/knock senser..

there is some other stuff besides the vtec and the knock senor. the car is OBD2 and the motor is OBD1

Yes, but that's not what he is asking about.

My bad, what is 96-98 part of 3rd gen?

uhhh.....

6th gen, bro...

and about your original question....a lot (if not all) of the plugs on the motor are the same (spare the IACV, distributor, injectors, and intake air temperature sensor). you'll have to extend a couplea wires (o2 sensor, IAT sensor), add a couplea wires (VTEC solenoid, VTEC oil psi sensor, knock sensor), and rearrange a couplea wires (IACV).

other than that, it's pretty much plug-and-play, wiring wise.
