put a switch on the vss to the ecu. at 120 mph turn switch off, no speedo, but you go faster-- rumor has it never tried it
Congrats, you just made my top ten 'most retarded things I've ever heard' list...and I've heard a LOT of retarded shit.
For one, there is NO REASON at all why ANYONE should be condoning, much less promoting, speeds of upwards of 120mph. It's illegal and it's unsafe. On top of that, if you ARE the kind of moron to go over 120, of COURSE you're going to want to be able to see your speedo so you can brag to your buddies later about how fast you were going. If you disable your speedo, you won't be able to tell exactly how fast you're going, now are you? Also, if you've got V-TECH y0! and you don't have a chipped ecu, your VTEC isn't going to work without a VSS signal. What's that you say? You DO have a chipped ecu? Well then, just chip out the speed limiter.
I can't believe you actually posted that he should put a goddamn switch to turn off his VSS.
I guess no one in this thread speeds, changes lanes without signaling, NEVER street races, BULLSHIT!!!!! People come here for technical info, not to be preached to. While I agree 120 isnt a safe speed for public roads, there are times when the road is DEAD and it can be done. If he wants to risk hurting himself, so be it. Some people insist on learning the hard way
thanks...those were the only things i needed to know, i'm sorry if i was being an a** but it's like i'm living with my parents again when i'm just straight up told not to do something
