hey i got a LS swap in my civic, with just a few mods, light weigth fly wheel, clutch, intake, and exhaust, i am getting t new p75 ecu is a good idea to put a spoon chip in it or not, and also do i need to run 91 octane in it to run the chip, thanks
Where are you getting this "Spoon Chip" from? If it's one of those deals you see all the time on eBay, then skip it. Chips like that are no good; they're "one size fits all" tuning solutions, and that's not something you want to mess with.
If you're serious about ECU tuning, then you need to get yours chipped and tuned on a dyno by a professional tuner.
unless your motor is built to spoon's specifications......
you need to use a wideband o2 and make one with an experianced tuner. dyno not required, but helpful.
yeah, like what brutal said, there is no 'one chip to rule them all, one chip to find them, one chip to bring them all, and in the darkness tune them' LOL
but seriously, yeah no one chip fits all solution.
