haha, a built si and i am going to assume the ex was swapped and probably built a little.. vs a stock srt-4 and the neon pulled from the EX in the end.

haha.

Good vid tho.

 Turbo's sounded all good. I was digging the horn to use as a indicator at the roll on. :D

Mostly all highway races are like that. Look online for Supra race video, those are siiiiick.

Goddamnit, I can't watch it, my Win. Media is all fucked up, the screen looks like it's having seizures.

:werd: Nice car no doubt. I wonder if i'll run into him on the streets. <_<

Sorry Codee- that EX isn't swapped.  It's an Apex'i turbo kit on the stock engine.  JKan's in Dallas.

how much boost is he running?

14 psi I think? It might be only 12. I'm not sure. He's on Civicland- go ask him.

14psi and a stock srt-4 beat him???

psi means jack shit. It is all about the CFM's and size of the turbo.

No, psi DOES mean something- just not as much as everyone thinks. 14 psi is still 14 psi of positive boost going into the intake manifold. Now how heat saturated it is depends on the efficiency envelope of the turbocharger.

14 psi on top of 1.6L is a lot less air than 14 psi on top of 2.4L, so I'm not surprised at all that the Neon took him. Displacement means a LOT.

ouch

Seriously...

Let's just assume that everything is 100% efficient for argument's sake. Now let's assume that both engines are boosting 14.7psi. That's 100% more air, right?

So....

1.6L + 14.7psi @ 100% efficient = 3.2L of air every 2 revolutions
2.4L + 14.7psi @ 100% efficient = 4.8L of air every 2 revolutions

All that air, and assuming the fuel system can shoot enough gas to combust it all- you have 50% more air and fuel burning, and the potential for 50% more power. With the same gearing, the 2.4L on boost will roast the 1.6L. There's just no comparison.

i hate looking at math...so ill just take ur word :D

so ummm, how fast are the neons in the 1/4?

Flat 14, I think. I watched a brand new one (4000 miles, no mods) on the dyno today, and it put down 225whp. That's all stock... that's it. It's pretty impressive.
