I just got my car started for the first time tonight. I put a 2000 ITR swap in a 94 hatch. It starts with no problem, but while idling it surges. It's not the IAC. What else would cause this? Any help would be great. Thanks guys.
You probably have a vacuum leak some where. Try covering the throttle body with your hand. If the engine keeps running good, you definately have a vacuum leak somewhere. On my swap it was a throttle body gasket. If it is vacuum it could also be the intake manifold gasket or a hose missing or leaking. Check the screw on your throttle body. Mine idles the best when it is screwed all the way in. Good luck.
Thanks man, I did cover the TB and it ran almost the same. I have all of my vaccuum lines hooked up and I have a brand new TB gasket. Did yours surge fast or slow. I'm stumped.
