i'm planning to turbo my b18b and i'm deciding between the t3 and the t3/t4 turbo. how much more power difference will the t3/t4 make over the t3?

It depends on the trim between the two different turbos, and what kind of CFMs they push. Without knowing that there's no way to give you good estimates/answers.

On my first turbo setup, IIRC I made a little under 200 hp with the 42/48 at 8 psi on my 94 b18b1.

With the 60/48, I had ~240 IIRC, but they were completely different setups.

    IMO, a 42/48 is a waste on a b-series... i wouldn't even consider it.

63/60 is key, or 60/57 if you want to go one step lower...

    :withstupid:

I was ona budgeted setup. The 60/48 wasn't too bad though. Spooled real quick.

If you want a mild setup, a .48/.60 will be good for you. Full spool up at 3400 rpm or less on a B16. Butt dyno and race experience tells me I made almost 250whp at 10 psi.

    you mean 60/48 or 42/63.

But either way, I liked my 60/48 on the LS, I had full spool before 3400, more like 2400.

    thats great....

I was very satisfied with it and the quick spool and with a little more tuning I would have reached my goal of 250 hp.

Oh wait, as a matter of fact, I did. I made 253 hp.

Will i be able to make 250hp with a t3 .48 a/r hot side with stock internals? because i'm only looking for about 250-300hp for now.

    lol.

I'd go with the .63 hot side, I suppose you could probably make around 300 with the .48, but I know if that was my goal I would opt for a 60/63.

if you want to get 300 with the .48 you better have a big intercooler.
