terrible idea?

I have a 97 civic ex with a D16Y8 engine with 157xxx miles. I am curious if it is a bad idea to turbocharge this engine because of the high mileage?

If you're going to boost it, I'd recommend having the motor freshened up a little bit first.....

as for the orig. question- your best bet would be to run a compression and leakdown test on the motor. how to is in our articles section
