It has a large role, does it not, in the huge level of fuckhead ricers? I mean, didn't it just blow the whole thing up even more? They were around before the movie but not like they are now.

And since when was a GS-R considered a "performance car" to the insurance agencies. I'm gonna have to pay mid to high 200's PER MONTH on my stock GS-R. It just sucks.

I blame in large part that fucking movie because now there's all these thefts and ricings of cars like mine and I GET RAPED because of all these assholes! The innocent pay for the fuckedupness of the idiots. I hate life!

I had to rant because it just bugs the hell out of me. YouknowwhatI'mtalkingabout?

Yeah yeah it's redundant.
Like clockwork, I get really pissed at things like every year there's something that I jump on that's already been talked about a million times. With anything and everything not just cars.
Ignore me

Um... the fast and the furious did not make your insurence prices go up, thank the generations of idiot male drivers that preceded you and a government system that allows for discrimination when the person can pay off an entire political party. If you dont like the insurence payment, sell the car.

um... cars were both riced out and stolen before TFATF was released.

If you're gonna waste space venting at least vent in the right direction.

I can't complain i am paying about $70 a month for my civic cx, i am just not tellin them that i have an LS motor in it. I am 19, male, but i live in the middle of nowhere.

About insurance yeah it sucks but its a cost of the hobby we all have. I have a CRX and have to pay 90 bucks a month for LIABILITY insurance. But oh well. But I wouldnt blame insurance costs on F&F because this problem was here long before that movie came out. Like Guy said its all the "males" before us that caused this problem.

I'd hate to tell you guys what I pay for Insurance :)

-> Steve "Full Coverage on everything" Earl

I paid close to that when I got my first car, six years later its now $80 a month, give it time, it will come down.

OR, you could just drive like a normal fucking person. My insurance went down 33% last December, shortly after I turned 21.

I would take the motor and put it in something else. just make sure not to tell your insurance dude whats under the hood. Mine doesnt care cause he is a family friend. but thats crazy a GS-R a perfomance car. Does that mean a civic SI is a "performance" cars?

It means anything they deem to be one of the commonly used "ricer" cars, is gonna make your insurance go up. So guys, rice out minivans and station wagons.. The insurance companies will never see it coming..

there were like 2 hondas in the whole fuckign movie.

if anything, its skylines, rx7's, and eclipses that should be the rice car.

the movie had nothing to do with it.

you have a bunch of people who work at mickey D's making $6 an hour...
and when there 200 pay check comes in every week, they aren't buying a 3500 gsr swap... they are buying a $50 apc wing.

its all about money.

and since said folks are stupid and think their car is a race car- but in fact, its a moving knick-nack, they crash because they are stupid and can't drive.
thus, insurance goes up on said vehicles, espeically in the 16-25 age bracket.

straight up, if you can't afford it, get a different car. its not changing for a long time.

^Yeah I don't know i mean i used to have a Si and they didnt make as big a deal out of it. I don't have any tickets or accidents or anything but I guess it doesnt matter.

And to those of you getting on my case because I'm "blaming" a movie _ _ _ I'm not retarded, I know all this shit was around before it, and same with idiot male drivers under 25...
I'm just yelling at the movie because I actually have seen some fools in my area start their shit after that movie. Admit it, that movie was just bad...it did create some bad influence. Fuckin, I remember I saw that movie in the theater when it came out, once it was out, i remember walking out the parking lot and motherfuckers were burning out and being stupid. I'll bet you anything there were tons of accidents as a direct result of that just after these people left the movie nationwide.

Dude, I'm just venting. I'm not just getting on the movies case but everyone who's to blame for insurance being so high.
It's gay because I'm a responsible driver, and i still have to pay the price for all these fools too. It's the way the world works, but it fucking sucks. You all know that.

And Yeah i could swap a motor into a hatch, ive actually thought about that but i dont wanna. I like Integras, i like the car stock and would prefer it that way, I don't have time in my life for all the tech stuff...i've got not a lot of time these days.

i'm just amazed that my 2000 Si was $70/month cheaper than a 1998 GS-R.

My crx is $43/6month; i got it under my mom's policy so itll be cheaper :D

most everyone here is a responsible driver. its the kids who ARENT online and use pep boys to learn about cars taht fuck it up for all of us

That and it's the people who go out and race around like a bunch of idiots who fuck it up. The people who just have nice cars that are upgraded into something they like and want just catch a bad rap. I mean I knew some guys who went around bragging that they beat a pontiace firebird in a dodge ram. Of course they were racing against a girl that didn't know how to drive very well. Those are the people that fuck it up. Most of us just have cars that we want to performance enhance and look nice and don't go out illegal street racing or burning rubber any chance we get and stupid shit like that.

Ricer =/= Street Racer

I will "rice" out my car as it were, but I won't go around racing it like a retard. If I do race it, it will be on the track and not on the street where I am likely to get in an accident, get arrested, or get shot.

I pay 177 for full coverage on my Si at 22 yrs old. My insurance never went up because of that fucking movie. It actually just went down 8 or 9 months ago from 210 a month when I turned 22.

If anything the domestic crowd got more angry at the import crowd because of that movie. All I ever hear is FnF references as to how my damn near stock Civic is "rice this or rice that". That's the dumb shit that just gets annoying after the 2nd time you hear it.

What's really fucked up is the fact that teenage girls cause MORE accidents (albeit they are more than likely smaller claims with less injuries or fatalities) and still pay MUCH less than teenage guys for driving the same car. I agree with whoever said it up there, it's because of moronic teenage guys that drag at 110+ down a "deserted" industrial road that caused insurance rates to go up. Guilt by association is grand, isn't it?

My sister paid 80 a month on her 98 Cavalier where I paid 150 for my 92 Escort when I had it every month for insurance. Yet she's been in more accidents than I have. (three of the four weren't her fault, but still...)

But hell... go ahead and be mad at the movie. Live your life with more stress and anguish over something you can't do anything about which hasn't done a damn thing to you. Doesn't bother me any.
