Well said. I somehow attracted one of these manipulators in college named Alice. She wasn't really happy with her boyfriend, and i was the emotional stand in. but did she leave her boyfriend? nah. dates were with her boyfriend, meaningful conversations with me. last straw was when she started serioiusly flirting with me, although she was still with her boyfriend. i asked her, "uh, so are you breaking up with your guy", and she gave me a "what do you mean?" kind of answer. i kicked her to the curb, not a moment too soon.

i've had many friends since then in similar situations. the emotional stand in to a girl they have a crush on but is still involved with some jerk. ugh. liberation now!

so, you need to re-read that writeup from the perspective of a guy who is hopelessly in love with a chick who wants NOTHING TO DO WITH HIM.
in other words, a guy who has a hard time drawing the line between dating and friends.

In real life, im a REAL nice guy. to girls that are my friends. (even chicks i date. yes, i come off as a 100mph shit talking funny guy, but underneath it all, im a really nice guy. i just happen to be able to realize very quickly when a chick is trying to play me. the minute i come to that conclusion, the asshole steps out from underneath the smiles, jokes and late night phone calls and then the party really begins. in the past, i have been called "bipolar" by more than one chick. funny, but they all shared one trait in common.....they tried to fuck with my emotions.) i dont expect them to put out, or to suck my cock cuz i helped them out with a problem over the phone. and i dont get all pissy when they dump their boyfriend and go out with some other buy besides me.

there is a fine line between dating a chick, and being friends with a chick. some guys just never fucking get it, and go through life with a chip on their shoulder because "im such a nice guy and chicks walk all over me"

i am a nice guy. I have been in all those positions that were mentioned on that website. Do i feel sorry for myself? nope. see, this is my theory. Women under the age of 25 are just plain stupid. They think with their, actually, they dont think. They all want to change those bad-boys, and they see it as their little projects. When shit doesnt go well on their projects, they call the nice guy. I believe, at the age of 25, give or take a year, they give up on that shit. They are sick of trying to change the bad-boys into good boyfriends and thats where we come into play. I have seen it happen a dozen times. Its like a light switch, the girl doesnt think anything of her friend, and then bam, next thing you know, they're getting married. So thats why i aint pissed about being the nice guy. I know someday, it'll pay off.
