Nope, clean title, no brand. It's already tagged, lol, I got that done yesterday.Does this car have a salvage title, or will you have any problems getting it registered with the accident? Just curious if it would be easy to get it tagged.
hondash is nice
Thanks for that, it worked. Cross 8 off the list.for the brake rotors, try a few panic stops to heat them up and clean the transfer layer, then coast it around for a few minutes.
Now the next problem... I think it's just been so long since I felt FWD torque-steer that I've forgotten what it is:
Under Acceleration, it tugs right.
Under Deceleration, it tugs left.
Both ways it's noticeable, I have to adjust the steering wheel to counteract it. Maybe it's bad engine mounts, maybe it's not?
Respectfully, I disagree. It doesn't have any brake caliper problems.well considering its got under 100ft lbs of tq id say its not torque steer you are feeling lololol IMO sounds like you have a sticking brake caliper in the front or a axle/bearing issue
lol we can agree to disagree but "torque steer" is not what you are feeling I assure you ... its a sub 100whp/tq economy car , ive seen personally having like 1 new well balanced axle on one side and a old worn out one with ripped boots on the other cause pulling issues esp driver axle . But it also can have 0 caliper issues and have a collapsed ya know 20 year old brake line on one side and cause pulling tooRespectfully, I disagree. It doesn't have any brake caliper problems.
Bearings are fine, no play in them under load or no load.
It might be an axle issue, perhaps you can elaborate on what you mean by axle issue?

9. It's almost certainly engine mounts. I'm almost positive the engine mount rubber is shot in a few mounts. I can make the engine move quite a bit under slight throttle movement. So I may be doing the "window weld" trick soon.

If you take the boots off the steering rack take a close look at the internals. I don't remember if it applies to this generation of civic but I know on the 4th gen steering racks there is a plastic bushing in the passenger side of the rack body that wears out and can cause shake and wobble that feels like bad cv joints or warped brake rotors.
