Vtec Solenoid Valve

hi there i have a b18c4 but the vtec solenoid is missing will a vtec solenoid off a d15z3 work ok or will i have to get the same one ?

if it look the same and fit the same it should work the same

it should not fit because different engine side and camshaft fitting

ive heard of a guy modifying it with some JB quick weld

dont know if it would work the same for you though

why not just find a used one from the junky

to modify if a cheap alternative thus leading to a breaakdown

well i did go scrap to find one but the only one i can find for my b18c4 engine is a solenoid from d15z3 vtec with exact fitting

slap it on and turn on car and enjoy VTEC i know i am! GOOD LUCK!

how do you plan to swap your engine?
are you gonna have pics?

I got my solenoid for my ls/vtec with gsr head off a z6 so engine type doesn't matter if you are just grabbing the solenoid.

thats all good then al put it on. as for pics well not too sure might do might not as it takes me a day to do an engine swap^_^

Did you do your swap yet?

if not, then have some BEFORE and AFTER photos
hope your swap come out nicely

yeh done most ov the swap al upload a pic or 2 just to show you how it looks lolz still gotta sort the rite hand side driveshaft and rear bracket and PAS pump
