wastegate question

Motor: fully built LS non-vtec
Turbo: T3/T04E 57 trim .63 a/r

Planning on running around 8 psi and initial tune, getting used to the car. And then on 110 octane running somewhere in the region of 18 psi. I'm wondering which wastegate (external obviously) would best suit my needs. Would the Tial 38mm be large enough or should I move up to say a 44mm?

you should be fine with a 38mm wastegate. ive seen guys making 600+ hp still using the 38mm

i am picking up my block from the machine shop very soon. she's gonna make a great cupholder for the time being until i get all my bottom end parts in.

To expand on this, with the same spring pressure you want a smaller surface to decrease pressure on the wastegate (pressure = force x area).
