if you disconnect your stock gauge do you know what normal engine temperture is for your motor?

my stock gauge is broken.. the needle broke off. ..

and no i dont know what the normal operating temp is...

so.. if anyone know the normal temp for a b16 then please share

I was told 180 is normal
Mine usually runs about 160 or less, but as high as 190 at the track.

even if it "works" does not make it correct. get the adapter thing and put it in the line, or drill and tap it in the water neck. you could even put it in the stock place, even though i wouldnt recommend it, its possible. the stock hole is 1/8 BSPT 28 threads per inch. the sender is 1/8 NPT 27 threads per inch. ive seen people do it before, but i really wouldnt recomment it. i dont like stripping threads.

i'll take it to my mechanic and see if he can drill and tap it for me. ..

should it be in a certain place??
