What to do in Charlotte NC

Im headed down to Charlotte NC in a week. This was a random trip so little to no planning has been done. A group of friends got together and just decided to take a trip and Charlotte is where we pick. We know how we are getting there and where we are staying. The plans are to do a lot of drinking,eating, and checking out the whitewater rafting. Been doing some searching online and basically everything down there is in or around the Epicentre. I was hoping to find someone who has been or lives in the area to give us some input. Just looking for ideas on places to go or to avoid. Looking for ideas on things to do during the day as well as the night life. Thanks in advance

for about 1:30 while switching planes

Yea Charlotte is pretty sketchy when it comes to car theft

We rented a car to drive down plus got the insurance from enterprise. I remembered hearing about car theft being an issue. Thanks for the advise.
