What's the Difference?

Besides the power numbers, what's the physical difference between the two? I tried searching, but didn't find too much...

I believe the D15B1 has vtec and the d15b2 does not, I assume they are both 16 valve heads

Hmmm, maybe I got my engine codes mixed up; I'm thinking about the engines out of the 88-91 Std and the DX...nothing vtec there...

No, I'm pretty sure yours are right. The B1 might be the 62hp engine.

well my 91 crx dx has a d15b2 if that helps clear anything up

Yeah- all the DX and LX models had the 92hp D15B2, the HF had the D15B6, and I'm pretty sure the STD had a different engine from both. That might be the D15B1.

yes the d15b1 is the 88-91 civic std. 16 valves 70hp 4speed tranny
