Where To Get: 3rd Gear Synchro For '91 S1 Tranny

Okay, this is a common problem as the 3rd gear synchros are and or go bad in JDM b16a motors with cable trannies.Where do you go for a replacement piece?

I have heard that "d" sereis motors synchros may be used, but nobody seems to have tried this, only seen that they were apparently same size and shape and fit as the y1's.

I need an S1...

call a honda dealer. they should know.

You local Honda dealer probably won't have a clue because that is a JDM transmission. Do you know anyone that lives in any of the countries where that transmission came stock? I believe that Europe got a B16 with a cable tranny (92b16vx is the guy to ask about that one), you could try Australia, or the obivious, Japan.

yes, but with the import scene getting so big, there are a number of honda dealers (around here) that are becoming familiar with the JDM engines and similar setups. just call and check. you'd be surprised.
