I'd heard HIDs were illegal in cars that didn't come with them though?

I'm guessing it's all about the angle the lights are pointed at. What car/s do you have it in? I'd like to do an HID conversion one of these days, my headlights are kinda dull. New bulbs might help though too :dunno: any other ideas?

i just have them in my rsx, but if you do go the hid route the best thing to do is a retro fit or the budget way, thats what i did lol, just get some new headlight that are clear then get some new bulbs or hid. the clear headlights will help a lot

i just use sylvania silverstars in my cars.... they have a nice clean white look, almost hid, and they actually make good light on the road. all of the other "superwhite" and other nonsense blue bulbs really suck from what i have seen.

wtf diffrence does it make... it makes you see better... I think its just a matter of people not aiming their headlights and they use that exucuse to give you a faulty equitment ticket

chaz the headlights are the same for a 2 dr 92-95 and a 4dr so you would have no problems.

D2S bulbs, mounted in some bi-xenon projectors.

Yes, austin, it makes a huge difference.

Chaz: It's because of all of the "HID Kits" people put in, and don't make the needed modifications. HID bulbs need HID specific reflectors, or HID projectors; they won't work in halogen bulb reflectors.

:werd: Not necessarily "don't work", but rather the stock reflectors scatter light making it dangerous for people driving the opposite direction(a lot of glare). If you ever notice, proper HID setups have a very sharp cutoff. For fitting HID's in your car, retrofits are the way to go.

I'm running Silverstars, works great for me. :) I want to switch to HID's but the stock lens prevent me from doing so(they have cuts in them to help scatter light).
