which starter 89-91 JDM Y1/S1 tranny

okay. starter didn't work. i have a Mitsuba sm-402-01 starter. no auto parts stores have a cross reference for this number. it's an 89-91 JDM Y1/S1 tranny. i tried a b-series starter and the bolt pattern is too close by about 1/4".
does anyone have an idea of what starter i need? i'm stuck. not even Google could help.
GS-R starter maybe???

try a honda b-series starter, not an aftermarket. they should fit.
If not try a 92-93 gsr starter

That's what I would shoot for too, but I am almost sure any B starter will fit. I put a 99 ITR starter on my 93 Y21 tranny, it didn't seem right at first, but after some playing it just slide right in.
