20k out of a set of tires is good IMO the m got 12. genny got about 18. lol

i've never gotten 50k out of any tire. lol

SUV tires tend to last long. I changed my factory installed tires on the Trailblazer around 60K? miles, due to age not wear.
My TL was getting around 50K miles
Our civic SI was managing 30-40K depending on tire.
Z and Subaru maybe 15-20K
My bikes 2500-6000 depending on which bike and which end.

Our Mazda has the 19s from the factory, hoping to get 40K out of them... hoping...

19s are brutal :/

Yup it was a concern but that's how it came unless we wanted the base model which we did not. The higher mpg offsets it from the accord which has smaller tires. I did the math. It's about the same cost in the end. Slightly better mph vs cheaper tires.

Spend $1000+ on wheels and tires to save $200 once a year or longer? Sounds like buying a German car to save money.

i downsized this year out of necessity. i had to buy a new set of wheels anyways. not the width, just the diameter. :)

i could not go through another summer repairing rims every other month.
