Will D trans vss work in LS trans?

I'm getting vss error 17 on my OBDI hatch with LS engine/trans. Will the vss sensor from my D trans work in the LS trans?
Autozone shows a different part number, so I don't know whether to try it of find Integra sensor.

You could try it if you have one. But a different part# usaully mean a different part.

Yeah, I thought I'd try it anyway tomorrow. Just trying to save a couple hours labor for nothing.

I used a sohc vss in my ls trans with no problems...

The bottom part(gear) may be different; you can swap between them though.

It is the same vss and it will work fine

The mounting bracket may be different but you can use the top part of the sensor and works fine. I just did that on a customers swap resently and works good. Just make sure you use a manual transmission speed sensor.
