I have never hear of compression being so high unless you have a lot of carbon buildup, race pistons, or something else crazy. Check wih another tester or double check your conversion.

Compression tester is NOT for figuring out compression ratio. The only way to find your compression ratio is to take the motor apart, cc everything, and work it out in a mathematical equation.

i measured it with a 300$ craftsmen compression leak down/ratiotester....ummmm wat math bro...n umm the problem was their was too much oil in the cylinder from sitting...lol but it started for 10 sec thencut off...the fuel pump does not pump for 10 min on second key turn but it doesnt...so i fix that n its goin to the paint shop...let me know thanks

well you do a compression check and measure the PSI of each cylinder at TDC... and that wont give you the compression ratio. he's right the compression ratio is different than the number you get when doing a compression check.

No one cares that your tool was 300 bucks, you could have bought a 20 dollar compression tester and it would have told you the same thing.

A compression tester does not calculate your compression ratio, it measure the amount of pressure in the cylinder.


I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say on the fuel pump issue.
