That's the problem with this game. It was supposed to be released at ps3 launch there have been a few other dates, then most recently a nov 2 street date. As a fan a loyal supporter of the GT series I feel mistreated by this game. So I will not buy it. I might pick it up in a few years when I can get a used copy for 20 bucks. It will be a great game but I will not give them my money

Hopefully this game will live up to specs. Prolog was kinda bad in my eyes and im sure in many others. They need this game to catch up bad.. Plus all the extra races and customization to the cars should help out though.. :)

Kudos to you. I'm just not principled enough to do stuff like that. If the shit is out there I'm going to want to play it, lol...

Why does GT always have a 91 EG6? Was it released a year earlier in Japan?

Yes, and that's the way it is with most of Honda's cars actually. The Del Sol was out in Japan in 91 also (but they still called it the CR-X), and the 4th-gen H22 Prelude...

I don't think people realize just how much stuff they are trying to get into this game. Any other company would have put out 3 different games but they're trying to do it all in one go.

If it manages to do everything well, this game is going to be hands down the most sick racing game ever put out.

If it doesn't do everything well..... shame on them.

As far as being released so close to black ops, who cares? Apples and Oranges.

In Japan they count model years by when production starts, not the year after like we do here in the US. So for us the 1992 model year cars started selling in late 1991- in Japan they would just be called 1991 model year cars.

i'm a big fan of the series, it has just bothered me so much that it has been delayed this long. it's like having a crush on a girl from when you are in high school, then get married to a different girl you meet after college just to have girl #1 come back to you. no matter how into it you are, it's just sort of past the point.

GT5 has zero room for error. being in production this long, they have to nail every last detail. fortunately, they have the resources and the team to pull it off. like i said before, i'll still pick it up, just a little disappointed.

Just thought I'd reiterate this in case people only end up reading Brutal's post.
Calesta is correct.

Here in America, the 2011 models are coming out (and normally would be out sooner, but in this economy....) whereas in Japan, they are selling some of the same stuff as 2010 models (except for minor differences of course)

No one here is totally correct (^^)/. They actually come out at the begining of the year generally in Japan. The new 2010 CR-Z came out in Feb. All of 2010 to sell 2010s. Honda here is coming out with a new civic in the end of winter/early spring of 2011... they are going to be 2012s.. Toyota will more than likely have a new 2012 Camry out then too as they always seem to release them very early. Most other cars are new in August/September/October and do carry the next year as their model year. Car year shit is fucked either way.
