New member here, figured this might be a good place to ask my question. Have an 89 integra chassis, and a stock 94 B18 GSR motor. The issue i have is the IAC on the back of the intake manifold is too large and is hitting on the firewall even after massaging it with some hammer action. Are there some aftermarket manifolds that are physically shorter in the runners to pull the manifold away from the firewall. Thanks for any help

i think a skunk2 or blox IM should clear the firewall. they are basically copies of an ITR manifold and have shorter runners. i know for a fact a edelbrock victor X is much shorter than a stock gsr manifold.

you can get rid of that stupid spacer with the valves in it, i cant remember what the damn thing is called, but it with give you another inch or two clearence

the IAB, or also known as stupid dual butterfly system. i got the same motor and im changing to blox, that should give you some more room to work with.

yeah thats it i had a brain fart... that would be the cheapist way to fix it or go get a different intake. if you do take it out you will need to get shorter bolts for it.

and new gaskets or you will have vacuum leaks.
