If you're happy with the price, make the jump. They are good cars. Taco is out at a concert and will most likely not be in the right mind set when he gets back but maybe tomorrow he could give you an idea on if that price is good as with your trade in value.
As far as newer cars... I just don't get it, I'd take a 2013-2014 model subaru over any 1990s honda. Now if I could make ends meet and had no money left over for savings, I'd totally rock a mid 90s honda before moving to something else, but at some point in life, time is money and to have for the most part a problem free 4-5 years and zero worries over warranty work. its IMO worth it.
Linhs 07 civic is now at 140K miles, dealership replaced 3rd gear, and also the rear control arms. zero cost to us.
Currently looking at replacement options for when the civic gets in the 200K+ range and more issues start showing up. Thinking either a Camry, rav 4 (new ones are nice, old ones BLAH!) or maybe a Forster or Legacy.
Once the time comes and we get seat time, we'll know. Camry is pulling great MPH, we had one as a rental, and it really blew me away for a $22K car.
