I already purchased the clutch after a recommendation from @civicious. Still a little paranoid. I don't have time to pull it apart and do this weekend. Doing it next weekend.

Symptoms are, frictiony noise on clutch application. Sounds like a scraping nouse as the clutch engages. Sometimes I have hard time sliding into gears. I have to be sure I completely depress the pedal, shift positively into neutral, pause and then go into gear. If I shift quickly at all it will grind slightly. Sometimes if I shift out of gear into neutral and I go to wiggle the shifter it feels like it isn't disengaged fully.

It came with a new flywheel as well because I feel like mine might be toast, along with my clutch. I've put this off for quite awhile.

Our its an input shaft bearing. I don't know a whole lot about those, looks like it's fairly straightforward to do. I'm sure it would end up being a bitch thought since I have to get it all finished in two days and get back to commuting in it.

You should be able to get it done in a weekend. A friend could make it go a little quicker.

Where is the clutch pedal at when the clutch engages in first gear? Bottom/Top/Middle?

Dang.....Hoping it was just an adjustment on the clutch pedal assembly. Not sure what the issue is. Sadly, I'd be popping the trans off. I am worried you are possibly making things worse by driving.

Do you have a spare slave cylinder to try? I dont really hear about input shaft bearings failing so I dont know the symptoms. I say it's the clutch or (doubtfully) the throw out bearing.

Yea, I'm not opposed to picking up another tranny if I have to. They're cheap enough. I'll do the clutch first and see if that fixes the issue.

Is it the spring style clutch disc? Maybe a spring popped off? Had it happen to me a long time ago. Trans was toast but it was during a hard shift.

Is there noise when you've got the clutch pedal to the floor, or when your foot is completely off of the clutch pedal?

Most of the noise is on disengagement when in gear. A little bit of noise when the clutch is, in gear and clutch completely in sometimes it feels like it's still hanging up. Maybe a little bit of noise completely released too.

Find out this weekend. I'm half expecting to find chunks missing out of the clutch when I pull it open. Sometimes it feels like part of the clutch disc is uneven or something.

Well i got the clutch done in about 8 hours today. Found a couple radiator hoses that were cracked and seeping too. Going to fix those tomorrow.

When I pulled the old clutch out, three springs from the pressure plate just fell out. It was TOAST. I put in two new axles too since afaik it was still on the OG ones with 214k on them and the boots were torn and spitting grease. The ball joints could all use replacing as they are all cracked. Have to do the boots on the steering... rods? Have to order some new rotors too.

Clutch got rid of all the noise besides the occasional third and fourth gear grind. I waited far too long to do the clutch so I'll probably have to try and pick up a used tranny on CL eventually.

Also put brand new tires on it. Have some new Hawk HP plus pads to throw on when I get rotors.

Weird how I thought of the springs. Crazy that multiple springs came out and it still shifted. I tore crap up when mine went.
