good thing you edited your last post..i had a paragraph for you to learn fromI swear I've seen pics with b18c r stamped on the block. But after doing some more research I think I might be wrong. Apparently there is only "B18" on both JDM Type R and GSR.

Dont really understand that myself, but you could most likely tell what motor it is if it is left stock. You can check the oil pan and read what it says p72 for gsr and p73 for type- r. Cam gears as well, just take off the cover and there it is.Why are the jdm motors vauge in that respect? You would think they would have some way of identifying engines without ripping into them.
