On top of a good derby it was my g/f birthday. she won 222 dollars off of just picking that horse because the jockey wore pink. i won 130. i would have real won big if scat daddy came in third, prolly a grand or so.

edit: got it, yeah, street sense is a good horse. He was my pick but i missed it due to graduation. Weird, i worked at a dog track for a few years and swore id never keep up or even care about horse/dog racing.

i remember two years ago, a guy bet 150k on win/place/show bets for the Stakes big race... then he called back and spent another 200k. You wouldnt believe how much money is bet/won on horse/dog racing...

Same here. I worked at a dog track and swore that I would never watch/go to racing again. Not because I don't like it but because when you here "get out your money - here comes the bunny" a couple thousand times it grinds on you.
