i want to go for a N/A tune setup in a b18c1 engine, so my question is what to do to it? what internals to change what camshafts fits better for n/a tune? what tranny? and do i have to change the stock suspension when making the b18 swap?

im aiming for at least 250 hp and dont want to get rid of the A/C
i drive a 93 civic coupe with a d16z6 engine.

thx for reading and hope u guys can come with good ideas

ITB's, $1,000+ quality header, port n polish, full exhaust, good tuning, stroker kit, internals etc. everything you can do without going FI.

By the way the 5th gen Civic suspension is interchangeable with an Integra suspension I think.

what do you think about getting the b18c5 internals for the proyect?

Cause he wants to tell you to turbo the D-series which would be cheaper than even a B18 swap alone and will put out more power.

yeah but i dont know how reliable can a turbo be i've seen many cases of wasted engines cuz of turbos so i dont want to get a daily driven car that has to be on manteniance every 2 weeks u know?

Either way, even a 250hp NA b18c will need maintenence it's not like the motor's meant to push that kind of power. And engines don't get wasted by turbos when you tune it right :) and use the right parts.

so what u think i need for the d16 to go turbo? im new to this so i could use all the help u guys can give me beside im doing some research and i've seen ppl getting 300 whp from a stock head and stock cam d16a6 i want to know the difference between the d16a6 and the d16z6, maybe i'll go turbo D after all what u guys think?

If you're looking for reliability than you'd probably be better off boosting your stock engine than trying to build a 250 wheel horse, naturally-aspirated GS-R. To get power like that out of an N/A build, you're going to need to swap out your internals for after-market, bump the compression way up, and possibly run something like ITBs.

A turbo engine can be reliable, you just need to make sure it's tuned properly. That's the most important thing.

The main difference between the A6 and Z6 is OBD0, non-VTEC on the A6 versus OBD1, VTEC on the Z6.

Obviously that's not a complete list of differences, but those are the main ones. If you already have a Z6, then I'd just stick with that. There's no sense in swapping it out for an older, non-VTEC model.

so i should go turbo with a fine tune, ok guys thx for the advices i changed my mind im gonna reserch for d16 turbo engines and i'll keep you guys updated on how it turns out =)
