If you head west, take one of the old US highways instead of an interstate. One year I drove back from Rocky Mountain National Park and took US36. Cool drive and not that much extra time. Also, anything around the Salton Sea is wild. Check out Slab City.

I'm still at the Big H, and I really do not know what the company has to gain from this aside from additional manufacturing capacity. My personal suspicion is that it is a strong voluntold request from the Emperor to save face (and jobs) back in the motherland.

How quickly do you need to renew it? You can get it done in 1 day in person if you go to a dept of state location. I had to do that earlier this year for a very last minute work trip. Gov+ is a ripoff. You have to give them the same info you would need anyway if you did it yourself.

Just read through this whole thread. Love what you have done to resurrect the thing! When you come out for the RR you should stay an extra day to explore all the fire roads around the area. Apparently the dual sporting is amazing.
