    Dim lights in gauge cluster

Today, I got two replacement Mitsuba RZ-0132 main relays, there were a couple of dry joints here and there on one of the main relays. WTH! I desoldered the %$#ing dry joints, as well as the seemingly okay joints and re-soldered them, making sure the new solder sits in properly. Then I took the...

    Low Fuel Warning Light

I have just replaced my gauge cluster with a Si gauge cluster assembly. My previous cluster does not have a low fuel warning light, now I have one for the Si unit. Anyone has any idea whether is there any additional wiring needed for the Si gauge assembly for the low fuel warning light to...

    CAI and Hydrolock

Thanks fellas. It could have been the wet filter cone restricting the air flow into the engine. It could also be that the engine took in minute amounts of water. Whatever it is, its okay now. Luckily I did not do a mini-me swap with a z6 head onto the block yet, with a 12+ motor, I could have...

    CAI and Hydrolock

I was driving my friend to downtown and it was raining heavily, flooding in some areas. It was pretty bad. I drove through a deep puddle and the next thing my car started chugging and sputtering. I stalled out at least four times at the stop junctions. However managed to drive back home. I...

    Dim lights in gauge cluster

I've tested the TW sensor by unplugging it. When I did so the dim lights are gone. With the TW sensor unplugged, I switched the the ignition to II and switched it off, there wasn't any dim lights on the gauge cluster. Anyone know why this is so? I recently changed my camshaft and spilled some...

    Dim lights in gauge cluster

If I do the same thing with my parking brake down, I will only have the check oil light left dimly on. I have also checked the grounds, wiring diagrams. Now I suspect it could either be the ecu or the aftermarket ignition control & coil. Or could it be the TW sensor? This water gauge temp...

    T.P.S. Throttle Position Sensor

Get any honda tps, except the one from a 88-91 dpfi dx. However, the dpfi tps will also work but you have to take the trouble to swap the two outer wires around. All the honda tps have the same programmed voltage settings. Approx 0.5v at idle and 4.5v at WOT. The voltage changes relate to the...

    Dim lights in gauge cluster

Correction, only the check oil and parking brake lights are left dimly on. It can also be switched off by disconnecting ecu plug C (obd0) where you can hear a click sound and at the same time the dim lights going out. Plug A works as well. (It can also be unplugged to reset the ecu) The...

    Dim lights in gauge cluster

I have a weird problem. Wonder if anyone of you have the same problem and manage to solve it. When I turn my ignition to position III which is when the fuel pump relay activates and the oil and battery lights come on, the chk eng light appears and disappears. Then after which I turned it back...

    Troubleshooting EACV

Thanks for the replies. I managed to pick up an eacv (carb cleaner required) and a tps sensor (unscratched and far from broken) from a jdm si intake manifold for free, courtesy of my friend Joe who runs a workshop 4 miles from my home. I tested the eacv on my car and the one I just got, and...

    Troubleshooting EACV

That's what I suspected but I live in the tropics so it doesn't really matter. However, I found something strange. When I start up the car cold and during warming up and moving off, pressing and depressing the throttle, the rpm climbs then goes down very low i.e. below 400rpms, at some stages...

    Troubleshooting EACV

How does an EACV work? I understand it bypasses air from the throttle body to the dashpot so as to maintain proper idle speed. For example when the air-conditioner is on, the eacv solenoid powers up to pull a valve shaft so as to maintain the idle speed when the vehicle is stationary or when...

    By-passing ECU codes

It is missing from the start as the wire at ecu plug in C9 is empty. However, the D31 wire link was originally on my ecu which looks like a black roll around a wire. However, before any soldering was done, I had to make sure whether your method worked. Strangely when I contacted a conductor on...

    By-passing ECU codes

I do not have a PA sensor. I have tried removing D31 which looks like a wire with a black shielding and soldered a wire link in place of it. Code 13 is still on. I tried re-setting the ecu a few times by removing the plugs and trying again. Still code 13. Any oversight?

    By-passing ECU codes

Anyone know how to disable code 13 on the PG7? I am finding I am running dammn rich. The bumper have sputters of carbon on them. The chk eng light is on due to a missing PA / Baro / Atmospheric Pressure sensor.
