No, Keep the Y8 Head, they are wrong- Y8 Head will give you more power (raise compression) AND you can use your OBD1. I did the same swap in my civic, here is my photo ablum: http://www.imagestation.com/album/?id=4290602507 The Y8 may be a little more work, but worth it! :worthy:

i read somewhere that those 4wd civic wagons had 6 speed trannys, not swappable w/ fwd civics but maybe perfect for you if you can beef it up?

yeah, or mabe when ou put timing belt on you moved the crank pully and lost the TDC of piston #1

if you put a vtec head & right ecu in and you wire it up correctly, you will hear & feel vtec. if you wanna hear it louder get a short ram intake.

hmmm, I looked at a 5g Z6 and it was the same, having 2 wires on the oil pressure sensor and 1 on the vtec silenoid. Unless you mean "only 2 wires" as only 2 wires going to the ecu... than this is true because you run the ground to anything metal on the chassis. *If you have any model 92...

I see this question of "how do I know which is the ground on my vtec oil pressure sensor??" come up alot in here. and there's not an easy way to describe it. So I took a pic of mine (which vtec worked when I was done). This was for a 1999 y8 Head, I looked at a 1995 Z6 oil pressure sensor...

in del sol Si's? i'm not so knowledgable of the del sol, but i thought they had D16Z6? and some later ones had a dohc, right? anyway, to the thread starter, look in a civic ex 96-00 99&00's are slightly different vacuum design but I would imagine you can mix any Y8 w/ any 96-00 civic ex...
