i recently bought a 97 civic dx and i will be swapping an ls-vtec motor into it. I have done many swaps on integras and civics, but ive never worked with a 96+ civic.
can somebody tell me exactly which mounts i will need?

be careful not to burn youself with the hot coolant thats going to pour out of the hole that you are gonna unscrew the sensor from. also make sure that the wires on the ECT sensor
are not corroded or broken before you replace it. ive seen old broken wires on ECT sensors before. good luck
you can use a p28 ecu or a p30 and i recommend any 92-95 DOHC VTEC (del sol or integra)
distributor. If not you can use a regular b18 non vtec distributor but you will have to cut
off one of the lobes on the distributor to make it fit with the vtec spool assy.

there should be 2 connectors. one will be a 2 pin connector with 2 wires andm the other one will be a 3 pin connector with 2 wires. you need to jump the 2 pin conector.
i have used both pr3 and pwo ecus in 1st gen b16s. im not sure which one is better or even the similarities and differences between them. but good luck on your research and if you decide to go with a pr3, i have one for sale.

if you have not yet converted your car to MPFI yet, you will have some problems runing your car.
the websight above guided me to wire up my 89 civic for a b16 with no problems. everything should apply to a zc motor with the exeption of a knock sensor...
you will need to remove the hub with a slide hammer or you can use a press whith will requiure you to remove the whole steering knuckle. when the hub is out, try to secure it in a vice. then it only takes one good shot with a hammer to get each stud out. good luck!
a type r motor and trans will be a direct bot up swap. except for a few things.
1. you will need a obd2 to obd1 ecu jumper harness(only if you use a type r ecu). if not you can use your stock ecu.
2. the collector on the exhaust header might be to big for the exhaust on your car.
