im pretty sure u can use parts off of a 99-00 si but don't quote me on that. as far as the other stuff. u will need motor mounts and tranny mounts from a sir delsol. or u can buy them new on hasport.com. i think vtec came wired on the car just not hooked up. let me tell you tho, for ur situation...
its simple to find out. go to an auto parts store and ask for part numbers for the two different years. it shouldn't be different but much if not at all. or worse comes to worse just order it and see.
ok so for the past few weeks, ever since i took a 900 miles road trip to houston texas, my car has been making a funny noise. comes from the front right axle it sounds like so i figured i needed to replace it, but tonight i was sittin in a parking lot in neutral and it started to make the noise...
man just splice your original harness back together, break down, and buy a $7 harness plug from walmart...seriously before u try to do it yourself and end up burning down a perfectly good sol.
:whatafucktard:
not to be too mean but seriously. harnesses aren't even ten bucks and they make it 100x easier. i wouldn't even no where to start. if you have a multimeter here is waht you do. with the key OUT OF the car touch the wires to find a constant 12V. once that is found turn the key...
b series are the easiest......... if u want to boost then it depsnd on power.....h series can create more power on boosst. but b series can create more HP because of the revs. itls all up to you..........drag, street, or strip?
:werd:
u know u could pull ur alt off and get it checked. its free just cost u the time. i had that prob with my 240sx. lights dimmed and everything. turned out to be the voltage reg
that doesn't always mean it has an LSD. i have a d16 and i can get smoke to roll from both tires. my buddy has an old camaro and it can roast both tires.
my buddy has an 03 mitsu 5spd. i stomp on him up to 90 and then he starts to catch up. so depending upon how long the race is he could beat you. ohh and the driver has everything to do with it.
you more than likely have a fuse out. the spoiler runs on a different fuse, at lease it does on a del sol. if no fuses are blown then you prolly have a wire short between the relay for the brake lights and the brake lights.
swapping will be a breeze. its a direct bolt in. as far as lookin for motors just look for a clean one. i mean look around realy hard and see if there are any leaks and such.
