go with b16. ls tranny gears are too long and you can pickup an ls short block on the street cheap. ls/vtec stock build can be done for under a thousand bucks and you can salvage the head/tranny, oil/water pump gears from the b16. good luck.

you can run b18a/b block with ctr pistons, b16 head and make around 12.5:1 compression (tested in my old setup) and run fine on 93 octane pump gas. no pinging, ran it off of a chipped p28 ecu with fields program. the reason they blow up so much is because of the long rod stroke from the ls...

i noticed one thing with the cluster. in the back with the harnesses, the ex it came out of had 2 small plugs. in my harness there is only one small plug. would that have something to do with it? probably not. ill go check the dimmer now...

use stock harness like they said above. since its 95, its still obd1 so you wont need a jumper harness. my motor is obd2 so i had to purchase a jumper harness to run the p72 ecu.

oh yea...no body kit. keep it clean and simple. maybe ctr lip kit all around, carbon fiber hood...ahh like mineeee =)

just keep the stock itr motor. they make good power for what they are. you can even do a cheap hondata street tune and throw in some JDM ITR cams and put down some decent numbers on the dyno. all motor is the way to go =D
